Internet safety is an important topic. There are many dangers out there in cyberspace that I need to be aware of. I never want to provide identifying information to somebody online that would allow them to be able to find me. I should always ask my parent’s permission when creating social networking accounts. My goal is to stay safe online.

A digital footprint is a trail of information that you leave while using the internet. Examples of things that can leave a digital footprint are Emails, posts, pictures, videos, comments and other online actions. Many people including parents, college admissions, officers, and future employers, can potentially see my digital footprint. It is important to leave a positive digital footprint because if you post anything you might regret it can possibly be there forever. To leave a positive digital footprint make sure that you post positive things and don’t do anything that you can regret.
